Mechanical Industry Food Machinery Standardization Technical Committee: Public Consultation Workshop on Industry Standards for “Food Machinery—Packing Machines,” “Rice Washing Machines,” and “Potato Peeling Machines”

On September 28, 2020, the seminar to solicit comments on the industry standards for "Food Machinery—Bagging Machines," "Rice Washing Machines," and "Potato Peeling Machines"—organized by the Technical Committee for Standardization of Food Machinery under the Machinery Industry and hosted by Shandong Yin Ying Catering Machinery Co., Ltd.—was held at the “Yin Ying” company. Attending the seminar were Wan Lina, Secretary-General of the Technical Committee for Standardization of Food Machinery under the Machinery Industry; Researcher Li Yan; Dean Dan Dongri from the School of Electronic Information Engineering at Qilu University of Technology; Director Su Guanqun from the Institute of Next-Generation Technology Standardization at the Shandong Academy of Sciences; Directors Lou Xiaohong and Zhang Wenxi from the Jinan Product Quality Inspection Institute, along with other experts. Also present were representatives from manufacturing enterprises such as Shandong Tianlong and Lubao, as well as user representatives from Jinan Aibangchu, Linyi Huiquan, and Jinan Xinte. Additionally, Li Zhongmin, General Manager of Yin Ying Company, Jiao Nianlei, Chairman of the Board, and all members of the standard drafting and revision team, totaling 21 people, attended the meeting. The seminar was chaired by Dean Dan Dongri from the School of Electronic Information Engineering at Qilu University of Technology. Participants visited the company’s laboratory and watched live demonstrations of the three products, gaining an understanding of their overall architecture and performance. At the seminar, the primary drafters of the three industry standards sequentially presented the “Draft for Comments.” The attending experts, manufacturing enterprises, and user representatives engaged in careful discussions and studies of the three standards, offering valuable suggestions. Researcher Li Yan then outlined the next steps, urging the members of the standard drafting and revision team to promptly collect, organize, discuss, and study the feedback received, reach a consensus, and strive to move smoothly into the next stage as soon as possible.

The “New Standards Training Workshop for Judges and Core Members of QC Group Activities in Jinan City” was successfully held in Laiwu.

In June 2020, the group standard “Guidelines for Quality Management Team Activities,” revised and organized by the China Association for Quality, T/CAQ10201-2020, was officially put into effect. In response to the call from the China Association for Quality and provincial quality associations to carry out a series of “Quality Month” activities, and in order to strengthen the development of QC team judges and key personnel within enterprises and continuously improve the quality of QC team achievement preparation and review, the Jinan Quality Management Association held the “Jinan QC Team Activity Judges and Key Personnel New Standards Workshop” in Laiwu from September 24 to 26. More than 130 QC team key personnel and quality management leaders from industries including power, construction, tobacco, and machinery participated in the training. Vice Chairman Gu Shouliang of the Municipal Quality Association attended the opening ceremony of the workshop and delivered a speech. During the workshop, Li Guoguang, a senior expert from the China Association for Quality and a member of the National QC Team Textbook Editorial Committee, explained the comparison between the 2020 edition of the guidelines and the 2016 standard, as well as the significance of the revisions. He also provided detailed explanations on the procedures for problem-solving and innovative QC team activities based on the new standards. Gong Maogang shared insights on the procedures for quality-trusted team activities and the preparation of related achievement materials. Wang Jingbo introduced the new rules and key points for writing reports on innovative QC achievements. Experts including Gu Shouliang conducted discussions and answered questions about the QC team activity guidelines and key points for preparing achievement materials, and they analyzed case studies to provide guidance on QC achievements from grassroots units. During the workshop’s summary, Director Zheng put forward three requirements: First, continue studying and deepening understanding; second, ensure implementation and promote effectiveness; third, take responsibility and demonstrate commitment, earnestly implementing the central government’s requirements for enhancing quality awareness and driving the in-depth development of quality management work in our city. Through this training, participants deepened their understanding of the new standards, grasped the key points of the new standards, and improved the level of their QC team activities. Yinying Company sent representatives to participate in the training.

Green Manufacturing, Clean Production

On September 14, the Jinan Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology organized a special training workshop on “Green Manufacturing and Industrial Energy Conservation in Jinan.” More than 70 participants attended the training, including responsible officials from the industrial and information technology departments of districts, counties (and functional zones), key industrial enterprises, third-party organizations specializing in green manufacturing and industrial energy conservation, as well as officials from the Municipal Comprehensive Law Enforcement Detachment for Industry and Information Technology and the Municipal Second Energy Conservation Inspection Detachment. This training focused on the current status of industrial development in our city, covering the goals, requirements, pathways, and tasks for green industrial development, as well as experiences and case studies in building green manufacturing systems. It also explored the relevant content from the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China regarding accelerating reform of the ecological civilization system and building a beautiful China. In addition, participants conducted on-site visits to selected enterprises. The course was taught by the School of Continuing Education at Shandong University. The participants personally experienced the profound heritage and unique charm of Shandong University, which has a history of over a century, and appreciated the distinctive teaching styles of renowned professors—sometimes humorous, sometimes refined and scholarly. To ensure the effectiveness of the training, all participants signed a “Commitment Letter on Observing Training Discipline and Maintaining a Positive Image.” Over the five-day training period, participants enjoyed a warm, comfortable, and uplifting learning environment. Green factories represent an important approach for China to achieve the transformation and upgrading of its manufacturing sector. As an industry leader, Yin Ying was recognized by the Jinan Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology as a “Green Factory” in 2019. Taking the lead in green manufacturing, Yin Ying will continue to align itself with the Green Factory evaluation system, actively promote the construction of a green manufacturing system, and realize corporate transformation, upgrading, and sustainable development. Yin Ying dispatched personnel to attend this training.
